With increased infrastructure development set to dominate Colombo’s skyline, the business community would more or less be the beneficiaries of such initiatives. Thus, it is hoped that speedy growth and development plans which includes the current Port City Project will contribute towards positioning Colombo as a favoured destination for the conducting of one’s business affairs.

The tourism sector continues to keep abreast with modern trends and tastes and as a result a large number of acclaimed international hotel chains have been born in various parts of the city, targeting budget travel, business getaways as well as leisure escapes. The latter serves as one of the primary reasons for visiting Colombo.

Sri Lanka has also successfully managed the health and safety measures introduced in the beginning of 2020 due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
